mental capacity act and DoLS
We are able to provide mental capacity act and DoLS training to both the statutory and provider sector.
keeping you and your teams up to speed
Since the act came into force in October 2007, day-to-day–practice supporting people with care and support needs has been underpinned by this legislation and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) guidance that accompanies it. This has had a significant impact on practice and is now also integral to the newer Care Act 2014 legislation and guidance.
Here's what we can offer:
- Training can be tailored for support staff, managers and professionals dependent on the requirements of the individual organisation. We offer introductory courses on learning disability and mental health for example, right through to more detailed mental health training.
- We can also incorporate your organisation’s policy and procedures into courses, tailor our delivery to meet the needs of the specific group you support as well as bringing you up-to-date with the latest developments in practice and legal precedents.
Currently we provide training for Devon County Council staff, Devon Partnership Trust, CCG as well as a number independent providers from both the private and voluntary sectors.
Please get in contact using our enquiry form, outlining your needs and we will be happy to discuss these with you.
